12This special edition Venture is a collaboration with Five In A Row, a Scottish-rowing crew competing in the 2021 Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge (TWAC). The crew will cover 3000 miles from La Gomera in 2-hour shifts, 24 hours a day without stopping until they reach their destination at Antigua - all in the name of an important cause.
They intend to raise awareness for Reverse Rett, a UK-based charity that supports victims of Rett Syndrome which currently afflicts the daughter of a crew member. Through various partnerships and tireless fund-raising efforts, the money raised will contribute towards medical research in hopes of finding a cure for this debilitating disease.
We created this BOLDR x Five In a Row Venture to help each member keep track of their rowing shifts. This watch boasts every aspect of a tough titanium Venture field watch, with two never-before-done features specially for the race; a two-tone tide indicator on the bezel, and a 10 o'clock crown position to avoid damage to the wrist while rowing. The bezel has a 12 hour scale to indicate the tides, but more importantly it helps the rowers easily keep track of 2 hour shifts.

All BOLDR watches come with a 30-month warranty on the internal movements of the watch, which excludes any part subjected to external wear & tear. I did a ton of research before buying the Five in a Row watch. Many YouTubers consider Boldr a brand to watch and I am happy to say the watch didn't disappoint. Arrived MUCH more quickly than expected. It's light to wear because of the titanium case but substantial with details and finishings that make it look more expensive than it is. It's easy to adjust the time and date. The only small downside is that I wish the lum lasted longer, however, it charges VERY fast.

Design is great. Case shape is terrific. Crown that's not digging into the wrist is a godsend. Build quality and hands alignment are very good keeping in mind price point. Very proportional length of every hand makes me very happy. Bezel is very stiff right from the box, but in couple of weeks of usage its action really feels much much better. Though it doesn't absolutely resemble that of Seiko watches, but it aligns well, rotates in both directions and has its right to exist. Dial color varies from light cream to an old book paper with lume that gives greenish tint sometimes. Dial color greatly matches the color of date window and bezel lumed indices. It all gives nice vintage look. For the watch with light dial color readability is very good almost in every conditions. The black circles around grey hour markers are amazing. Markers don't look flat, their paint raises slightly over the dial. Nato strap is very soft and flexible, it hugs your wrist gently like it has been worn well already. But for those who prefer stiff straps it will be a drawback. Wearing comfort on nato is tremendous. Overall I'm very pleased with this watch. Thanks Boldr!
